IWC Watch Pilots Chronograph Spitfire IW387901.
As its namesake suggests, the IWC Schaffhausen Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Spitfire takes inspiration from the legendary aircraft’s impressive engineering, stealth and stamina. This timepiece features a robust stainless steel case integrated with 60 meter water resistance. It takes residence upon the wrist at 41mm in width, making it an ideal companion for collectors with a slender wrist. This impeccable timekeeping instrument features a black dial with bright white Arabic numeral hour markers and luminous coated appliques. Aside from a useful day date feature at 3 o’clock, the IWC Pilot’s watch can also offer stopped hours and minutes in the chronograph counters located at 9 and 12 o’clock respectively.
The column wheel design lying at the centre of this IWC Schaffhausen watch is capable of a 46 hour power reserve thanks to a patented pawl winding system that was innovated by Albert Pellaton in the 1940s. The in house made Calibre 69380 beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour and has guaranteed protection from magnetic fields thanks to a soft iron inner case which wraps around the movement, shielding it from damage. Completed on a green textile strap, the IWC Pilot’s Chronograph Spitfire watch secures around the wrist with a steel buckle engraved with the famous IWC lettering upon its surface.
